Presentation and general information
Annual Conference 2018 of the International Network on Brief Interventions for Alcohol & Other Drugs (INEBRIA) will be hosted in Santiago, Chile. Its theme is “Challenges faced in the implementation of brief interventions in diverse settings, contexts and population groups”.
Within the framework of the aims of INEBRIA, the Conference’s overarching goal is to present, summarize and debate about the latest developments and advances on scientific research and programs evaluation related to Brief Interventions for Alcohol and other Drugs.
Taking place in South America – for the second time since Conference of Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, in 2008 – this meeting will also provide the special opportunity to think and discuss about the challenges of implementing brief interventions considering different contexts and populations, with social, cultural, institutional and demographic specific conditions.
Language and translation
The Conference official language is English, however, all main activities – as plenary sessions and some group sessions – will have simultaneous translation English-Spanish and Spanish-English.
